72-year-old promoter, Frank Warren has ruled out any possibility of Daniel Dubois fighting Anthony Joshua in his next match, hinting that there have been talks with other people regarding his next match so.

In an interview with Box Nation Warren said, “I don’t see that happening next. So we’re looking at a couple of things at the moment so we’ll make a decision. I was hoping we could’ve done it fairly and quickly but we won’t. I was hoping to get it done last then this week then this week, so sometime next week we are going to be in a position where we can close on something and we are talking to a few other guys”.

He believes Joshua is “injured” as he feels “it’s taken a while” and the fight won’t happen. He backs Dubois by saying “We’re in the Daniel Dubois business, he’s the champion, and he’s the guy who matters to me”.

He also ruled out a fight with Fabio Wardley who made headlines with a fabulous first-round knockout victory against Frazer Clarke.
