Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is no longer eligible to represent Nigeria after making his debut for England on Tuesday night in a match against Finland.

Hukwunonso Tristan “Noni” Madueke, who was named in England’s squad for the Nations League games against Ireland and Finland, entered the match as a substitute in the 66th minute.

Madueke replaced Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka in the second half at London, making an immediate impact by assisting Harry Kane’s second goal, marking Kane’s 100th appearance for England.

After receiving a pass from Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right, Madueke delivered a cut-back to Kane, who finished clinically to seal the win for the Three Lions.

“It was an amazing feeling to make my first appearance for the national team, and I’m proud of myself,” the Chelsea winger reflected on his England debut.
